This session was meant to be. It took a lot of planning and re-planning to get us all in one place at one time. But when we finally did- magic happened.
We had, maybe 20 minutes before the sun would fully set and we were headed to a location I had never been. I’m not gonna lie I was a little worried.
As you’re about to see, I shouldn’t have been. I love every image of this gorgeous fam<3

So many amazing sessions this fall! I’m a little late but determined to get all of these beautiful sessions posted!
Amy + Chris and their two beautiful kiddos, the day ended up way chillier than expected but the sunset was gorgeous and they were troopers about the cold!

Five years ago today I photographed the most beautiful, most magical wedding.
And today I share with you some beautiful images of this family five years later ( I may have to share some wedding photos too….they are still my absolute favorite!)
Omi is the sweetest, silliest kid and I absolutely love our yearly sessions catching up with this family!

This session made my heart happy.
I’ve known this girl for 22 years.. we’ve been through a lot together and nothing makes me happier than being able to capture her beautiful family and the joy that radiates amongst them all.
I think its easy to allow the day to day to get us down, it seems everyone is always going in 100 different directions. Sometimes it’s hard to slow down and see the beauty within your own life.
And that is precisely why I love what I do so much, I want to be there for those moments. The ones that make all the other stuff worth it. The moments that make your heart just almost burst.
This entire session made me feel that way.

I had such a great time meeting this sweet family. Wesley absolutely stole my heart with those bright blue eyes and that gorgeous smile! We started the session in his nursery, than moved on to their neighborhood park. I love photographing families in their “spaces” (homes, parks, places they frequent) I always feel it adds another element, makes it extra special when the location means something.

Okay get ready for an over share, because this family was so gorgeous, the light so perfect, I just couldn’t stop snapping.
I had a really hard time choosing which photos to share because I just love them all!
Without further ado, I will let these photos speak for themselves. But let’s just say I’m already looking forward to them scheduling their next session!

The annual photo update for the Barker family couldn’t have been sweeter. I love when get to watch kiddos grow up through my lens. We’ve been doing family photos ever since miss Zoey was about six months old. It’s hard to believe she’s going to be 7 in March!

This family, gosh I love them. I get so excited when fall rolls around and it’s time for our annual shoot. This year we decided to head down to 5th Street Public Market and I am beyond in love with how these images turned out! It kind of helps that Marley is seriously the cutest thing ever —- I mean come on! Is she for real?
We had such a fun afternoon exploring the market, taking photos and eating sour patch kids, of course. Here is a handful of my favorites.

My good friend, and fellow photographer, Jamie had a baby and five and a half months later I finally got to meet him. AND I got to capture his first trip to the pumpkin patch! I cannot think of a better way to celebrate being 5 1/2 months old.
To see the world through the eyes of a child is an incredible thing and this little guy was so curious about all of it! Capturing the first time he felt (and okay tasted) hay, a pumpkin, the grass…I just loved it all! Here is a little preview of our fun afternoon!

I always look forward to photographing this family. They are so real. So genuine.
I’ve known Robyn for years, having grown up with her sister Traci, and reconnected with her and her husband Andy a few months after their gorgeous twin girls Lily and Emma came home from the NICU after having a rather rough start to their little lives. Actually a rough start is putting it mildly. During Robyn’s pregnancy they were given a less than 1% chance of their girls surviving. Although I was not in direct contact with Robyn at the time, Traci had shared with me what was going on and my heart ached for this family. Along with countless others I prayed daily that these sweet girls would continue to fight, I remember when Traci told me the girls had both come home from the hospital. I cried tears of happiness for the miracle that was these little girls. I immediately told Traci I wanted to gift them a photography session to celebrate this amazing time, the day so many told them would never come. Both of their precious baby girls had come home from the hospital.
We arranged a day to meet for that first session and the rest, as they say, is history. That was in September of 2012. Nearly three years and multiple photo sessions later I have come to know and love this family so very much. Robyn has been an amazing and true friend to me, being there for me in so many countless ways I cannot even begin to count. I love her as my own family and love watching her sweet kiddos grow up! It has seriously been a challenge trying to narrow down which photos to include in this blog post! I look at these photos and I see real life, there is no pretense, there is no posing for the camera.. Just them, being real.
For this session we decided to meet at a play ground connected to an old school along Coburg Rd out by Harrisburg. I knew it would be the perfect place to start, let the kids run some energy out and of course snap some amazing photos. After the playground we headed down the road about a mile to Andy’s cousin’s house where we caught some beautiful late afternoon rays and played in the field. “Wish” flowers were among a favorite of the kiddos that day as well as making sure we got some good photos with a beloved green frog that came along for the session. This family never ceases to keep me on my toes! I love how this fun and crazy session turned out.
And….
From their first session..
